Ok, so I went to the wild horse and burro auction just to look...
I was instructed not to buy anything...
I came home with a yearling filly...
But really, who could resist! She is really sweet, and no one bid on her. I just had to have her, and since the girl I went with bought two donkeys, I thought why not! I even called some friends from church to get their opinion. I did TRY to call my husband, but he never answered his phone. I just couldn't let a deal like this go, so I bought my very first baby horse! Of course, Josh did not know I did this until he finally called me back when I was on my way home from taking the new addition out to her new home. Needless to say, I did get into trouble when he realized I was not joking about buying another horse...
Josh came out to see her the next day, and I think she won him over when she walked right up to him. Someone has definately worked with this filly before, because she is far from wild. She lets me touch her all over, and pick up her feet. Not much seems to bother her at all. Sochs loves his new sister...he didn't want anyone to be able to see her but him. He kept chasing the other horses away from the fence!
Can't wait to scrapbook the new addition to our furry family....now I just have to come up with a good name for her!
This is a shot of Sochs and the new baby.

Congratulations on your second baby. Are you going to send out birth announcements?
So cute. Congrats! I am with you on not letting a good deal get passed you. What is the saying...it is easier to get forgiveness than to get permission. Ha ha ! Just kidding! Have a super week.
How about a Name-That-Horse contest? We thought about doing that for this baby. :)
Currently thinking about 2 names...Nevada and Mika (Mee-ka)
Glad you are enjoying your new horse. Hope you have a great weekend!
I vote for Raven.
Wow! Quite an impulse purchase! Mine are usually things like a new purse or some scrapbooking goodies!! lol
